Event Description: Every year, more than 120 vendors, ranging from sporting goods dealers to hunting and fishing guides, gather at the UMaine New Balance Field House for this annual rite of spring. Now in its 82nd year, it is the longest running sportsmen's show in the country, organized entirely by volunteers from the Penobscot County Conservation Association. The Eastern Maine Sportsmen's Show is a great place to see the latest outdoor products and learn about outdoor sporting activities that can be enjoyed by the entire family. With programs and demonstrations in the pool, classrooms, and on the Memorial gym stage, along with vendors filling the entire Field House, you can easily spend the day – or come for all 3 days! Food is available in the gym. Proceeds benefit PCCA activities, scholarships for students majoring in Wildlife Ecology and Biology, and various adult and youth educational sporting programs throughout the year.
